Yusuhara Town Office (or Hall)

The town office was built in 2006 for the purposes of founding a disaster prevention center, enhancing municipal services and making use of natural resources including local timber. The building uses much local cedar cultivated in abundant nature along the sources of Shimanto River and the wood thus provides the interior with a relaxing atmosphere. On the first floor chado (a traditional styled tea house) is set up as a welcoming symbol. The tea house stands for a combination of the local history and materials, through whose figure visitors as well as inhabitants will feel a warm reception.
